Entity Locker 

Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has introduced Entity Locker, designed to empower organisations by providing a secure, cloud-based platform for storing, sharing, and verifying digital documents and certificates.


Key Highlights 
  • Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), GOI
  • Developed by: National eGovernance Division (NeGD).
  • It offers a 'Digital Empowerment' solution that grants organisations access to authentic digital documents through their digital document wallet and enables real-time document access and verification through integration with various government agencies and regulatory bodies. 
  • Stakeholders will be able to access entity-related documents such as registration certificates, tax returns, and provident fund-related documents.
  • Entity Locker is a part of India’s Digital public infrastructure (DPI), aimed at enhancing digital governance and ease of doing business.
  • It exemplifies the innovative use of technology to solve complex administrative challenges and promote economic growth.
