23rd Law Commission of India
Recently, the union government has set up the 23rd Law Commission for three years to carry out audits of laws.
Key Highlights
- The 23rd Law Commission will comprise a full-time Chairperson, four members, and additional ex-officio and part-time members.
- The commission will review and recommend legal reforms to improve the Indian legal system.
Objective
- To identify outdated laws that can be repealed.
- To create Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for periodic review of laws.
