Exercise Pitch Black was conducted at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base in Darwin, Australia.

• The name ‘Pitch Black’ was derived from the emphasis on night time flying over large unpopulated areas.

• The exercise facilitates the experience enhancement with the operation of the SU 30 MKI Aircraft. 
• The Indian Air Force (IAF) has previously participated in the 2018 and 2022 editions of this exercise.
