National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG)

Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) visiting Bangladesh for bilateral discussions to renew the MOU between the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) India and Bangladesh Ministry of Public Administration for the period 2024-2029.  

About NCGG 

(i) The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) was set up in 2014 by the Government of India. 

(ii) It is an apex–level autonomous body under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India. 

(iii) It has been set up to assist in bringing about good governance reforms through studies, training, knowledge sharing and promotion of innovative ideas. 

(iv) It is headed by the Cabinet Secretary.  

(v) The NCGG also has a Management Committee consisting of 12 ex officio members, headed by the Secretary.   

(vi) Head Office: Its head office is at New Delhi and the branch office at Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.   

Objectives of NCGG 

• To engage in the provision of consultancy services throughout and outside the country. 
• To raise resources in aid of the activities of “the society” and manage and maintain a fund to which funds shall be allocated. 
• To advise on key issues in governance and develop cooperation across various ministries/ departments of the government of India and state governments.
• To function as a think tank for governance and policy reforms, cutting across administrative, social, economic, and financial domains.
