Brand India Mission
The Government of India is launching the Brand India Mission to promote the quality of goods made in India. The mission is being piloted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Brand India mission:
Under the Brand India Project, both Indian and foreign customers need to be informed about goods manufactured in India.
Brand India will sell tags to manufactured products made in India. In order to obtain the sticker, the imported products shall conform with the health and safety requirements set down in the Regulations.
The mission is to initially focus on the tyre and Rubber Industry ecosystem. For this rubber plantations are to be encouraged through support from private investment.
